can't see error log

I tried to browse to my error log from EM, it's frozen.
why?sorry, I mean sql server log.

I think maybe the log file is too big, I wonder if I can truncate the
current log file.
I ran sp_cycle_errorlog, but it doesn't close current log file and recreate
a new one.
do anyone know how to solve this problem?

How big is your log?
If it is more than about 10MB, it will take a while to load.
You might have better success by opening it with notepad.
You may want to cycle it occasionally using sp_cycle_errorlog

can't see calculation definition

Hi, new in SSAS 2005, few weeks ago I define calculations in my cube, deploy it and built it. When I browse the cube, its OK.

Now I re-open the project file, I cant see this definitions (formula) but I still can browse the cube and see the values.

1. I'm worried if I re-deploy the cube, I'll loose calculation definitions definitily, or even worse :(

2. is there a way to recover this definitions?

If you lost the MDX definitions in the project somehow but they still exist on the server, you import server state into new project. Just do New -> Project -> BI Projects -> Import AS 9.0 Database|||Thank you very much :)

I have made sure that on the server I am a member of the OLAP
Administrator group and everything seems to go well all the way up to
Design storage and Cube processing
but
After that I can only browse the dimensions and can see the data but I
do not see any data when I browse a Cube ' I'm really confused and
can someone please help me out. Really urgent and desparate

Hi,
are u using analysis servuces. if yes then right click on the cube
select manage role and give it permission to be access. That may be
the problem.
